These are in the more remote, western area of the Ribera del Duero region, around the town of Pesquera de Duero. Here, the Duero valley is much narrower, allowing vineyards to be planted on the valley slopes, at altitudes around 800 to 900 metres.\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eCurrently working in rented winery space, Monica makes two, small cuvee wines that shine with vibrancy and expression. Growing up in this region she knows how to eke out the subtleties of the grape and its terroir. Monica believes you will find there is no irony in the name!
